Terms of use
Last updated: 23 October 2026. These terms cover the MCC client during its beta, this website and the online features (accounts, cosmetics, player list, social). Provider: see the legal notice.
1. Not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft
Not an official Minecraft product. Not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB. You need your own legitimate copy of Minecraft: Java Edition; MCC uses the game files from your own installation and your own Microsoft account. Mojang's and Microsoft's own terms (including the Minecraft EULA and server rules) continue to apply to you.
2. Beta
MCC is in beta. Features can change, break or be removed, and access can end. Use it at your own risk and keep backups of anything that matters to you. We may limit beta access by invitation.
3. Licence
MCC is closed-source software. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the client for your own play. You may not sell, sublicense, redistribute, or modify it, or reverse-engineer it except where the law allows this. Third-party components keep their own licences, listed in the client under Settings → Licenses.
4. Acceptable use
- No cheating: don't modify or combine MCC to gain unfair advantages or to evade anticheats. MCC contains no cheats and must not be turned into one.
- Respect each server's rules. If a server doesn't allow third-party clients, don't use MCC there.
- No harassment, hate, threats, spam or illegal content in social features, profile content or reports.
- Don't attack, overload, scrape or probe our services or other players, and don't try to access accounts that aren't yours.
We may suspend or delete accounts and access that break these rules.
5. Cosmetics
During the beta every cosmetic is free for everyone. Cosmetics are purely visual, have no monetary value, can't be traded or sold, and may change or be retired. They are shown to other MCC players only. If paid items are ever offered after the beta, separate terms will apply and you'll be asked to agree to them first.
6. Your account
Accounts are tied to your Minecraft account and verified through the client; there are no passwords. You can delete your account and all of its data at any time on the account page or by writing to us. Details in the privacy policy.
7. No warranty, liability
The beta is provided free of charge and "as is", without warranty of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential obligations and limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise liability is excluded.
8. Changes and law
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the client or on this site. German law applies, without the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods; mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence stay unaffected.
